제목 Synthesis of α-amino-ω-thiolated-heterotelelchelic poly(ethylene oxide) and  its application for preparation of gold nanoparticles.
초록 We have developed a useful method to control the molecular weight of poly(ethylene oxide) by n-butyllithium (n-BuLi)-initiated ring-opening polymerization of ethylene oxide (EO) with tert-butoxide (t-BuOK) in the mixture of benzene/DMSO at 35℃ for 48h. In addition, an alkoxide bearing sodium or potassium counterion is well known to initiate ethylene oxide leading to living polymerization in polar solvent. In this study, N-(2-hydroxyethyl)phthalimide was converted to the corresponding sodium alkoxide in THF using sodium hydride, followed by polymerization of ethylene oxide at 40℃ for 48h. After complete polymerization, propylene sulfide delivered into the reactor via a breakseal technique under high vacuum. The resulting polymer was deimidated by using hydrazine monohydrate in DMF at 120℃. The resulting polymer was used as a polymeric stabilizer to stabilize gold nanoparticles from chloroauric acid in ethanol at 40℃. In this presentation the preliminary results will be discussed.
