Polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) was used widely in polymer industry as its remarkable stability and good film-forming properties, however its degradation is a problem as it’s fluorine element. In this study, TGA-DSC thermograms determined by changing heating rates and FT-IR were analyzed to calculate activation energy and related factors. Some kinetic methods were examined to investigate the details of degradation. Under the atmosphere of nitrogen and argon, thermal decomposition of PVDF was guided by two different mechanisms from two-stage thermal degradation patterns. |
