The treatment of bone defects resulting from trauma, disease and pathological degeneration or congenital deformity of bones remain a major challenge in the medical field. For bone defect healing, bone grafting has been widely used to implant properly to defect site. However, it has some limitations such as immunologic rejection, insufficient tissue and secondary damage on donor site. In these reasons, many researchers have interested recently in natural extracellular matrix (ECM) which was affected cell proliferation, migration and differentiation for replacement of bone grafting. In this study, we extracted natural ECM from bovine bone which contained native bone morphogenetic protein and collagen via demineralization and decellularization processes. We confirmed the effect of bdECM in vitro and in vivo. |
