Low temperature extraction process of estrogen from natural products material for the health of postmenopausal women |

Estrogen plays a most important role in the female hormone that express the secondary sexual characteristics of women. In particular, it helps to overcome the menopausal , so its application is being actively carried out. In this study, various estrogens were extracted from kudzu, Clara, and pomegranate by using a ultrasonic low temperature extraction process. There have been a large improvement of the extraction efficiency in the case of the extraction process using ultrasound. The solution extracted through the process is analyzed using reverse phase HPLC. Through experimentation, we applied various ultrasonic energy and extraction time to respective raw materials, and compared the extraction amount of estrogen associated therewith. we tried to find the optimum extraction conditions of this extraction process from each raw materials. The results obtained from this will serve as basic data in the study of biology and chemistry related to natural products.
