Delivery of DNA vaccines via microneedles has more advanced than conventional intradermal injection. In this study, we present a synthesis of dual ionic copolymer PUSMN which release polyplex based on its pH sensitivity. The copolymer is synthesized via a combination of –OH groups in polyethylene glycol (PEG), sulfamethazine-N (SMN), 1,4-Bis(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine (HEP), and –NCO groups in hexamethylene diisocyanate (HMDI) or 1,4-Diisocyanatobutane (DICT) to form urethane linkages. It is characterized by 1H NMR and gel permeation chromatography. Subsequently, titration property, change of charge and cytotoxicity is also investigated. |
