제목 Enhancements of Optical and Opto-electrical Properties of Organic Small Molecular Nanomaterials and Devices
초록 When charged-particle rays, such as electron-beam (E-beam), interact with organic materials, we can observe some defects including vacancies, disorders, and/or chain scissoring/breaking as well as even change of species depending on their kinetic energy levels. However, by careful choices of the interacting conditions, only physical properties of the materials are able to be modified or improved selectively. Here, we report on the effects of E-beam treatments on organic small molecular nanowires (NWs) and organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). Rubrene NWs were prepared based on nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide templates. For fabrications of the OTFTs, [4(HPDTT)-benzene] and pentacene were deposited through spin-coating and vacuum evaporation, respectively. After E-beam treatments, photolumnescence of the rubrene NWs was increased up to about 7 times. We also discussed variations of the TFT performances in terms of carrier mobility, on- and off-current ratio, and threshold voltage.
