제목 Highly wear resistant and robust nano-sized UV-curable protective layers for tactile sensors​​
초록 In this study, we present the polysilsesquioxane based protection layer for the tactile sensors. So far, protective layers for electrodes, such as tactile sensors, used polymers like PDMS and TPU, which have good elongation properties yet poor wear-resistance. In this research, we synthesized organic-inorganic(O-IO) molecular structure-based polysilsesquioxane (PSQ) for a wear-resistant protective layer. Due to its unique O-IO molecular structure, PSQ presents glass-like scratch-resistance. We fabricated a thin protective layer (10um) on a strain sensor by blade coating, and a load steel-wool test was conducted on the sensor while measuring its resistance. The result shows that strain sensor with PSQ protective layer presents 1k cycle operation reliability while conventional PDMS protective layered strain sensor was scratched with the start of the test.​
