제목 Effects of microsphere on the absorption properties of the superabsorbent terpolymers
초록  Super absorbent polymers(SAPs) are special polymeric materials that can absorb large amount of water due to a considerable amount of hydrophilic group in their structure. We synthesized terpolymers consisting of carboxylic functionalized monomer with vinyl sulfonic acid(VSA) and acrylic acid(AA) using a crosslinker. The microsphere was embedded in their matrix. The effects of the microsphere on the absorption properties of the superabsorbent terpolymers were examined. The water absorption capacity of them highly increased as the microsphere input content increased from 2 to 5 wt. %. We also confirmed absorption properties of terpolymers according to the order of microsphere addition. The structure of SAPs was characterized by FT-IR spectra. The microstructural features of the composites were investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM).
