Synthesis and properties of amino-terminated cationic waterborne polyurethane- montmorillonite hybrid materials by in-situ polymerization in an aqueous medium |
초록 |
The characteristics of waterborne polyurethanes(WPU) are usually inferior to solvent type polyurethanes due to their hydrophilic groups and lower molecular weight. One method to improve their properties of WPU is to input inorganic materials to form a multi-phase structure in the dispersion. In this study, the WPU dispersions, which contained no volatile solvent, were prepared by the prepolymer mixing process. And the montmorilonites(MMT) were homogeneously dispersed up to the optimum content in WPU/MMT nanocomposites. Series of WPU/ MMT nanocomposites were successfully prepared by in-situ polymerization, and their structure characteristics and properties with various MMT contents and 2,2-dimethylol propionic acid(DMPA) were investigated.
