In part Ⅰ, physical characteristics such as BET specific surface area, TEM images, and element analysis of several Pt and Au alloy catalyst were discussed. In this study, Pt–Au alloy catalysts were prepared by impregnation (IMP) method and deposition (DP) method using alumina or ZnO/Al2O3 as support. As a results, Pt-Au alloy catalyst coated on alumina support were found to be catalytically very active for complete oxidation of methanol and toluene. Furthermore, the relationship between the preparation method and catalytic activity of various alloy catalysts was investigated. |
