제목 Effects of Ligno-nanocrystals cellulose Contents on UV-shielding, Antioxidant, and Oxygen Barrier Properties in Food Packaging Applications
초록 In this research study, chitosan/LCNCs nano-composites for food packaging materials was investigated that have shown good UV-shielding properties, antioxidant properties, and mechanical properties. The LCNC1 has offered the highest UV-shielding properties, with more than 80% UV-shielding from 200 nm to 400 nm wavelength. LCNCs with lower lignin content show good mechanical properties, thermal properties and with an improvement of UV-shielding, antioxidant properties, and barrier properties. Oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of chitosan and CTS- 5 % LCNC1, and CTS-15 %LCNC1 show excellent oxygen transmission barrier properties. Thus, by selecting preferred LCNCs, preferred food packaging materials can be produced for different packaging purposes, such as for mechanical, UV-shielding, oxygen transmission rate, and antioxidant properties.
