Poly (butylene terephthalate) (PBT) and polyamide-6,12 (Nylon 6,12) were extruded with a single screw extruder. The blend filaments were compression-molded at the temperature between the melting point of PBT and Nylon 6,12. On the Basis of TEM, SEM, DSC and structural properties of PBT/Nylon 6,12 blend filament were studied in detail. The PBT/Nylon 6,12 blend filaments the mechanical properties, the morphology, the melting and crystallization could be obtained. As Nylon 6,12 contents (wt.%) increased 10, 20, 30 and 40 (wt.%) crystallization temperatures increased but melting point didn't change by DSC. SEM observation showed dispersed phase change into continuous phase gradually as Nylon 6,12 contents (wt.%) increased. |
