Phenyl substitution effect on reductive dechlorination of allyl chloride-based pollutants in surfactant solutions |
초록 |
Electrocatalytic mediated dechlorination of organic pollutants in surfactant solutions is an attractive method towards environmental protection. Allyl chloride (AC) and its derivatives are prominent environmental contaminants. This work reports the electrocatalytic reductive dechlorination of a phenyl-substituted allyl chloride derivative, cinnamyl chloride (CiC), by electrogenerated [Co(I)(bpy)3]+ (where bpy = 2,2’-bipyridine) in CTAB aqueous solutions to examine the effects of phenyl substitution on the dechlorination reaction. The rate limiting mechanism and the homogeneous electron-transfer rate constant (kcat) for the Co(I)-catalyzed CiC dechlorination have been assessed and compared with AC. |
