Electrochemical Performance and Thermal Stability of Lithium-Ion Batteries Containing Electrolyte Additives |

Lithium-ion batteries are widely used as power sources for various electronic devices because of their high energy density and long cycle life properties compared to the other rechargeable batteries. At the same time, the application of lithium-ion batteries is expanding to hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and other large-scale power systems. However, large-size lithium-ion batteries are as yet commercially unavailable, primarily due to the associated safety problem. In the present work, we studied the influence of electrolytes in TPP-containing solutions on lithium-ion cell performance and thermal stability. |
