제목 | Understanding the Role of Chloride Dopant on the Formation of Perovskite Films and Performance in Planar Perovskite Solar Cells |
초록 | Organic-inorganic halide perovskite solar cell possesses excellent electronic, chemical, and optical properties that make them attractive for next generation solar cells. The upsurge in the development of perovskite solar cells commenced with pure CH3NH3PbI3 but record high efficiencies have been realized in devices fabricated using mixed organic-inorganic lead halide perovskites. Understanding the halide role on the formation of perovskite films is an interesting issue for high efficient solar cell. In this work, we have studied the role of chloride dopant on the formation of perovskite films and performance of the devices based on it. Mixed lead halide perovskite films was investigated to reveal the effects of the experimental variables such as lead iodide and lead chloride composition, post annealing temperature, post annealing time, and methyl ammonium iodide composition based on the conversion of lead halide to perovskite and the morphology. Perovskite films of CH3NH3PbI3-xClx were fabricated via two-step solution deposition using different composition of PbI2 and PbCl2 in N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) on to cadmium sulfide (CdS) thin films coated FTO glass followed by spin coating of methyl ammonium iodide (MAI). The presence of chloride originate from PbCl2 influence the growth of perovskite structure. We observed that a small amount of PbCl2 mixed with PbI2 shows good surface morphology with better perovskite film formation. A device with planar structure of FTO glass/CdS/ CH3NH3PbI3-xClx/Spiro-OMeTAD/Au using 10% PbCl2 mixed with PbI2 perovskite based solar cell shows power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 10.12 %, whereas using pure PbI2 perovskite based solar cell shows 4.35% power conversion efficiency. |
