Semiconductor thin films with high carrier mobility, flexibility, and long-term stability are utmost necessary for the further step in organic thin film transistors. This presentation suggests a composite thin film consisting of a polymer thin film and semicoductor nanowires as a possible route to solve the problems of the current OTFTs. As a proof-of-concept study, we will present in-situ network formation of trigonal selenium nanowires in polymer thin films. The size and length of the interconnected nanowires are controllable. Since the process is solution-based and the production scale is readily enlarged, we expect the approach may find immediate industrial applications. |
