제목 Effect of chemical precipitation process on the electrochemical properties of NiOOH/MWNT nanocomposites for supercapacitor electrode
초록 Supercapacitor electrodes with nickel oxide hydroxide (NiOOH) / multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) nanocomposites were synthesized by a chemical precipitation process. MWNT contents was influenced significantly both the electrical conductivity and the specific surface area of nickel oxide hydroxide/MWNT electrode.  Presence of MWNT network in NiOOH was influenced on the enhancement of (i) the electrical conductivity of the host NiOOH by the conducting network of MWNT and (ii) the active sites for the redox reaction of metal oxide by increasing its specific surface area. A relatively high specific capacitance of 2430 F g−1 and specific surface area of 274 m2 g-1 were obtained at a scan rate of 10 mV s-1 on the 50 wt% of MWNT. Energy density and power density were obtained as 83 Wh kg-1 and 8.4 kW kg-1, respectively.
