Biomineralization of collagen scaffolds via biomimetic treatment |
| 초록 |
Collagen is a naturally derived protein and a major component constituting the organic phase of natural bone. Therefore, collagen is widely used as various tissue substitutes in addition to bone tissue. In this investigation, collagen was mineralized through biomimetic environment and evaluated biological functions using osteoblast cells. The physical and chemical properties of mineralized collagen were evaluated using SEM and EDX. Mineralization mechanism was characterized using calcium element monitoring. Mineralization brought considerable changes in cellular responses including proliferation and differentiation of osteoblast. This study can be furthered for the characterization of biomineralization mechanism. |
