Role of the Nonionic Surfactant Triton X-series in Emulsion Polymerization via Surfactant Chain Length Effect on Coating-Primer Fabrication |

The effects of nonionic surfactant chain length on the properties of coating-primer for optical PET film have been investigated. The transparency of PET film in the presence of nonionic surfactants is reported; Triton X-series. Increasing degree of dispersion stability in coating-primer solution has been observed in surfactant media. Haze decreases on PET film are observed as the chain length of the nonionic surfactant increases. The data supports chain length of surfactants affects on the dispersion stability between polymer particle and melamine curing agent in coating-primer solution phase, thus it is shown to be an important factor in fabrication of coating-primer for optical PET film. |
