Pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) were prepared based on acrylic copolymers which were synthesized by solution polymerization of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, and acrylic acid with AIBN as an initiator. Graphite oxides (GOs) with epoxy group were prepared by reacting GOs with epichlorohydrin. The incorporation of carboxylic acid and epoxy group into PSAs and GOs, respectively, for thermal curing were evaluated with Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The effect of content of vinyl modified carbon nanotubes on thermal stability of thermally cured PSAs was investigated with thermogravimetric analyzer. The adhesive characteristics of thermally cured PSAs containing epoxy modified graphite oxide were investigated in terms of peel strength, cohesiveness, and probe tack. |
