A gravimetric method using a quartz spring was applied to study the adsorption equilibrium and kinetics in gas/solid systems. This experimental technique has been used many times in gas/solid system for eqilibrium studies and for kinetic studies.The gravimetric method is a well established technique for obtaining adsorption equilibria of pure gases and vapors. On the other hand, apparently little is known about the gravimetric measurement of adsorption equilibria of gas mixtures, even though this method is readily accomplished in comparison with other experimental techniques. |
