제목 HDPE containing sucrose as dosimeters
초록 The use of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) as a binder to Sucrose dosimeters was investigated. HDPE-sucrose dosimeters were prepared by melt mixing method. These dosimeters were irradiated in air and at room temperature to doses up to 100kGy using a 60Co gamma irradiation device. The intensity of the EPR signal from irradiated sucrose was proportion to the concentration of radiation-induced radicals, which in turn was proportional to the absorbed dose. The dosimeter exhibited a linear dose response in the dose range from 3 to 100kGy. These favorable properties provide the potential of using HDPE-sucrose as a commercial dosimeter for EPR dosimetry.
