Synthesis and Characterization of Antifouling and Bactericidal ABA Tri-block Copolymers Having Perfluoropolyether and Cardanol-containing Methacrylate Polymer segments for Surface Coating Applications |
초록 |
ABA tri-block copolymers (PHCPMFs) containing perfluoropolyether (PFPE) segment as antifouling moiety and cardanol-containing methacrylate polymer segment as bactericidal moiety were synthesized using PFPE macro-initiator and 2-hydroxy-3-cardanylpropyl methacrylate (HCPM) by atom transfer radical polymerization. PHCPMF films were prepared using spin coating method, followed by crosslinking via UV irradiation and their surface properties were investigated. PHCPMF films showed high visible light transmittance similar with bare glass, low water contact angle hysteresis value for preventing adhesion of foulants, excellent bactericidal activity against Escherichia coli, and better biocompatibility than bare glass against human dermal fibroblasts. Therefore, we believe that PHCPMFs could be promising candidates for many surface coating applications due to their good optical, antifouling, bactericidal, and biocompatible properties. |
