Improvement in power conversion efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells with sodium sulfide-modified photoanodes |
초록 |
TiO2 films on transparent electrodes were modified with an aqueous sodium sulfide solution, and the resulting films were applied to photoanodes of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The sodium sulfide modification by a simple dipping method enhanced the power conversion efficiency of DSSC, mainly due to an improvement in the open-circuit voltage (Voc). By monitoring UV-visible absorbance spectra, UPS valence band spectra and dark currents, we could attribute the increase in the Voc to a negative shift of TiO2 conduction band edge, resulting from the formation of anions on the TiO2 surface by the modification. *Acknowledgements: This work is financially supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) through the fostering project of Industrial Complex Campus. |
