제목 | Preparation of layered titanate intercalated cyanine dye for dye-sensitized solar cell |
초록 | Dye-sensitized solar cell attracts a lot of attention due to its high light-to-electricity conversion efficiency and low cost.[1] To realize high energy conversion efficiency, TiO2 nanocrystalline electrodes of a large surface area have been investigated extensively as a key material for dye-sensitized solar cells.[2] One of the strategies to improve conversion efficiencies is to increase light-to-electricity efficiency by increasing the amount of dye in the electrodes using layered titanate of much larger surface area than conventional TiO2 particles. In this study, layered titanate was prepared from TiO2 particles by controlled thermal treatment. Cyanine dye was intercalated between titanate layers by hydrothermal process. Dye intercalated layered titanate was characterized using analytical instruments such as X-ray diffraction (XRD for analyses of titanate structure and intercalation behavior), Electron spin resonance (ESR to investigate excitation behavior).
