Microorganism has been isolated for the production of bioethanol. Newly isolated strain was identified with Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain through morphological characteristics and DNA analysis. Productivity and Ethanol yield of the yeast were compared with other various yeasts. After 60 hours fermentation, 81.8 g/L of ethanol concentration and 83.56% of theoretical yield obtained from the newly isolated yeast with 15% sucrose solution. Very similar concentrations of ethanol, about 70 g/L, obtained from the other yeasts. Temperature effect was also investigated, and the highest ethanol concentration of 84.4 g/L was obtained at 35℃. |
