With the successful commercialization of vacuum-deposited organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology in recent years, research interest about solution-processable OLEDs is also increasing. In solution-processable OLEDs, cross-linkable hole-transporting materials (HTMs) are especially important for multilayer structures. In this work, we report the first example of “thiol-ene” photo cross-linkable HTMs. New HTMs containing allyl moieties have been synthesized, and their chemical and physical properties were characterized by NMR, TGA, DSC, UV-vis spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, etc. The solvent resistance and the patterning ability of new HTMs were also evaluated. Solution-processed OLED devices containing new cross-linkable HTMs were fabricated and characterized. In this presentation, various examples of cross-linkable HTMs would be briefly reviewed, and then the experimental results about “thiol-ene” photo cross-linkable HTMs would be explained in detail. |
