제목 Hydrophobic dense membrane with non-ionic water vapor channel for dehumidification
초록 The vapor-compression system is the most commonly used for heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system even though it has drawbacks like high energy consumption and use of environmentally harmful refrigerants. Membrane heat pump system is an emerging technology capable of replacing the system. We designed hydrophobic polymer based dense membrane with non-ionic water vapor nano-channel which is formed by clustering of hydrophilic fillers. This membrane reduces power consumption due to extracting water vapor from the humid air without release of latent heat. The structure and properties of the film are characterized by SEM, water-vapor permeability analysis, and gas permeation test.
