Mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNPs) have been actively researched to be used in various fields in recognition of their characteristics, such as drug carriers, bioimaging and catalysts, electronic devices, and optics. We attempted to exploit its functions for wide surface area and excellent biocompatibility, biodegradability, and drug-containing efficiency. We expect that an effective targeted treatment using drug polymers may produce the fluorescence efficiency. The quantum dots (QDs) with high biocompatibility and better fluorescence can be expected from urea. Morphological characteristics of MSNPs were studied by employing Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Functional groups of MSNPs were investigated using Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Optical and fluorescence emission properties of MSNPs were studied by UV-Vis Spectrophotometer (UV-vis) and Photoluminescence Spectroscopy (PL), respectively. |
