Fabrication of Nanogap-controlled Gold-silver alloy nanoparticle-assembled Silica Nanoparticles as SERS Probe |

In this study, nanogap of Au-Ag alloy nanoparticle (NP) has easily been controlled by growth of Ag on Au NP-assembled silica NP. During the process, ascorbic acid was used as a reducing agent. The nanogap structure between Au-Ag alloy NP were easily tuned by adjusting the concentration of silver precursor (AgNO3). From the controlled nanogap structure which represents enhanced electromagnetic field, strong Raman signals were obtained. Applying the particle as a SERS probe of ATP, limit of detection (LOD) was calculated as 2.4 nM with a high reproducibility in deviation of 14.2%. |
