제목 Three-arm poly(2,5-benzimidazole) membranes manufactured by direct casting for vanadium redox flow batteries.
초록 Acid doped polybenzimidazole(PBI) membrane is a potential proton exchange membranes for vanadium redox flow battery because it effectively prevent vanadium cross-mixing. But, the proton conductivity of PBI membranes is just moderate. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to prepare high proton conductivity PBI membrane with improved physicochemical properties. Three-arm poly(2,5-benzimidazole) (T-ABPBI) was synthesized with controlled molecules. The synthesized T-ABPBI solution was directly casted onto the substrate, employing the direct casting method, to fabricate the membrane. T-ABPBI was tested by varying the thickness of the membrane for its VRFB cell performance and physicochemical properties such as water uptake, acid doping level, membrane crystallinity and dielectric constant.
