The conventional lithium ion battery based on a liquid electrolyte demonstrated an efficient energy storage system and its high ionic conductivity, but liquid electrolytes still have safety issues such as inflammability, fire, and explosion. To solve it, solid polymer electrolytes considered as a good solution to substitute for liquid electrolytes owing to their low flammability and good electrochemical stability. Herein, we prepared silica-based single-ion conducting nanoparticles which anions are attached to the silica nanoparticle’s surface. They allowed lithium cations are the only ion to conduct. The nanoparticles which having a high surface area and a mesoporous structure subsequently embedded into a polymer matrix. Their ionic conductivity and mechanical properties are reported using dielectric spectroscopy and oscillatory shear. |
