제목 Morphology and Properties of PVC/PE-Clay Nanocomposites
초록 PVC/PE blend is now utilized in various applications but the physico-mechanical properties and technical performance of the PVC/PE blend are much inferior to those of PVC or PE individually mainly because of their incompatibility. In this study, to prevent the drops of the properties of the blend, PVC/PE-clay nanocomposites were prepared by melt compounding of two polymers with an organically modified clay. Relationship between compounding condition and resulting mechanical and thermal properties have been studied. Their structures, morphologies and mechanical and thermal properties of the nanocomposites were characterized by using X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA).
