제목 | Effect of PVDF nanofiber separator by electrospinning for Lithium ion Battery |
초록 | Electrospinning is a process that produces continuous polymer fibers with diameter in the sub-micron range through the action of an external electric field imposed on a polymer solution. Therefore, electrospinning is an useful technique to produce nanofiber webs. Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and its copolymer have been widely studied for applications in lithium ion batteries as an electrolyte binder or a separator. We studied application of electrospun PVDF nanofiber web as a separator for lithium ion battery. Diameters of the electrospun PVDF nanofibers were 100- 800nm. The electrospun PVDF nonofiber web was thermally treated at 100-160℃ to improve thermal shrinkage and electrochemical performance of a separator for a lithium ion battery. The electrospinning separators exceeded the commercial polyethylene separator and the physical properties of electrospun PVDF nonofiber web were improved by the thermal treatment. |
