Supercapacitors are electrochemical energy storage systems that store energy directly as charge and physically, whereas batteries store energy in chemical reactants capable of generating charge. Accordingly, the energy density of supercapacitors (<10Wh/kg) is lower than batteries ( >100Wh/kg). However, their power is significantly higher and their lifetime longer. In this study, we fabricated a highly conductive paper with a sheet resistance as low as 1 Ω/sq via simple coating carbon nanotubes (CNT). The conducting paper has some advantages such as flexibility, lightness, simple process and lower production cost. Also, the supercapacitor based on conductive paper showed excellent performance. Here, we prepared two kind of electrodes by differing the base paper, that is, commercial copy paper and Hanji. The supercapacitor based on Hanji showed more durability. |
