In this work, we have investigated properties of hydrophobic surface of nano-paticles structured silica and 3 different types of fluorinated methacrylates. First of all, MPS-Silica nanoparticles are obtained via condensation reaction between the hydroxyl groups on the surface of SiO2 shell and tri-methoxy groups belongs to silane coupling agent. Secondly, fluorinated silica dispersions were fabricated via Thiol-lactam initiated radical polymerization (TIRP). Finally, fluorinated silica core/shell composites with hydrophobic properties were prepared. By spin coating the dispersion with fluorinated silica nanocomposites and general binder onto the substrate, a hydrophobic surface is obtained. Resulted hybrid composite particles were characterized by contact angle, XPS, SEM-EDS, UV-vis. |
