Influence of Amine Surface Treatment on Lithium Ion Adsorption Behaviors of Activated Carbons |

In this work, we have prepared activated carbons (ACs) with various amines as a function of amine group amount for lithium ion adsorption behaviors. The lithium ion adsorption capacity of amine-ACs was measured by atomic adsorption spectroscopy (AAS). The textural properties of amine-ACs were investigated by N2/77 K adsorption isotherms using Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. Structural properties were investigated by wide-angle X-ray diffraction (XRD). Morphologies and charge characteristics of amine-ACs were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and zeta potential, respectively. It was found that the characterization of amine treatment had influenced on the lithium ion adsorption capacity of ACs. |
