Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Assisted Solvent-free Preparation of Drug Loaded Poly(DL-Lactide-co-glycolide) Monoliths for Controlled Release Applications |
초록 |
Supercritical carbon dioxide(scCO2) was used as a processing medium for the fabrication of drug encapsulated poly(DL-lactide-co-glycolide) PLGA monoliths for their potential application in controlled drug delivery. Highly water-soluble drug molsidomine loaded biocompatible PLGA composites were carried out near ambient conditions in CO2(37°C,180bar) and upon venting CO2 highly porous monoliths were obtained. The in-vitro release of molsidomine from monoliths into aqueous phase was found to be significantly retarded by the encapsulation of drugs by the PLGA. |
