제목 Highly Sensitive and Wearable Tactile Sessors Using Conformable, Ionic Sheath-Core Carbon Nanotubes Microyarns
초록 Recently, to exploit large-area, highly sensitive, and wearable tactile system using e-textiles, superior electrical or mechanical properties such as high conductivity and flexibility are strongly required in the individual yarns, but remains unexplored.
In this talk, we present highly conformable, ionic textiles (i-textiles) using sheath-core microstructured carbon nanotube (CNT) microyarns to implement high-performance, piezocapacitive tactile sensors. An elastic, ionic polymer was effectively introduced onto conducting CNT microyarns as a functional sheath material so as to allow low voltage operation and high flexibility as well as high sensitivity. This is originated from an effective ion migration at the interface of CNT and ionic elastomer under pressure. Potentially, i-textiles tactile sensor suggested by us exhibits high sensitivity and operational stability over a wide range of mechanical stimuli, including conditions conducive to real-time human motion detection.
