제목 졸-겔법에 의해 폴리프로필렌 필름에 코팅된 실리카/Poly(vinyl alcohol) 하이브리드 박막의 산소 차단 특성
초록 The organic/inorganic hybrid materials, which have been termed "CERAMER" and "ORMOSIL" or "ORMOCER" are also prepared by the sol-gel method. They are normally nanocomposites and have the potential for providing unique combinations of properties which cannot be achieved by other materials. These composites have the possibility to become new materials having both advantages of the organic materials such as the light-weight, flexibility, and good moldability, and of the inorganic materials such as the high strength, heat-stable, and chemical resistance.

In this study the oxygen barrier property of silica-coated polypropylene(PP) film was investigated. Organic polymer such as polyvinylalcohol(PVA) was added in the coating solutions to overcome severe cracks in silica-coating layers and to form hydrogen bonds, resulting in enhanced phase connection between the inorganic silicate and organic PVA phase. The pretreatment with partially hydrolyzed vinyltriethoxysilane(VTES) on PP substrate was also discussed.
