Carbon dioxide (TC = 304 K, PC = 7.4 MPa) has received a great deal of attention because of its eco-friendly characteristics. In Gas-Expanded Liquids (GXLs), carbon dioxide has been the most commonly used and investigated in GXLs system as an anti-solvent. In general, liquid CO2 is a poor solvent whereas typical organic solvent such as hexane and ethanol are good solvents, so a range of solvation properties is easily accessible. In this study, by employing CO2-expanded liquid, stabilized cesium doped tungsten trioxide (Cs0.33WO3) nanoparticles with relatively big sizes were precipitated by their van der Waals attractive interactions. In particular, as prepared nanoparticles are used to prepare the optical absorption film and they exhibit a high extinction coefficient in the near IR region. |
