Organic semiconductors are promising for use in low cost, light weight, and mechanically flexible thermoelectric modules. Improving the thermoelectric performance of organic semiconductors relies on developing materials with higher power factors, which is difficult owing to the inverse correlation between the Seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity. One route to successfully increase the power factor is through blending different components together, including two different conjugated polymers as well as conjugated polymers with inorganic nanowires.
