제목 Sol-gel derived Zirconium-Phenyl Siloxane Hybrid Material for a High Refractive Index LED Encapsulant
초록 We report a robust, high-refractive index LED encapsulant based on zirconium-phenyl siloxane hybrid materials (ZPH). The ZPH encapsulant was fabricated via hydrosilylation of sol-gel derived vinyl- and hydride- functionalized hybrid siloxane resins containing phenyl-groups and Zr-O-Si heterometallic phase to achieve a high refractive index (n~ 1.58). In thermal aging tests, the ZPH LED encapsulant exhibited, excellent performances with a high optical transparency (~88 % at 450 nm) and exhibited high thermal stability (no yellowing at 180℃ for 1008 h), compared to a commercial silicone-based LED encapsulant (OE-6630, Dow Corning Corporation), which shows considerable thermal degradation during thermal aging test. This suggests potential of ZPH to be a high-power LED encapsulant that requires high refractive index and high thermal stability.
