제목 | Block Copolymer Nanotemplate-Mediated Tailored Hybrid Materials for Application in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells |
초록 | Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have attracted considerable attention as an alternative platform to the future renewable energy production owing to their high solar energy conversion efficiency as well as relatively low fabrication cost and simple process. We introduce distinctly different and creative strategies for improving the efficiency of TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs)-based DSSCs by incorporation of tailored hybrid nanostructures prepared from self-assembled block copolymer nanotemplates. First, massively-ordered arrays of TiO2 nanodot embedded in carbon matrix were fabricated via direct carbonization process of UV-stabilized block copolymer (BCP) films containing TiO2 sol-gel precursors. Carbon/TiO2 hybrid film was condignly inserted into TiO2 NPs photoanode and power conversion efficiency was remarkably enhanced compared with DSSCs composed of neat TiO2 NPs photoanode. Second, a new class of organic/inorganic 1-dimensional (1D) photonic crystals exhibiting stop bands in the specific wavelength range was created by stepwise layer-by-layer deposition of UV-crosslinked BCP inverse micelle layers. The simple yet novel 1D layered BCP films have been introduced into the back-side of the counter electrodes as light reflecting layers in DSSCs system to attain the light trapping enhancement. |
