제목 Plasmon-enhanced light absorption and efficiency via self-assembled diblock copolymer template of metal nanoparticles.
초록 Surface plasmon resonance phenomenon inside bulk heterojunction solar cells based on poly(3-hexyltihophene)/[6,6]-phenyl-C61 butyric acid methyl ester (P3HT/PCBM) is studied through a thin polystyrene-b-poly(2-vinylpyridine) (PS-b-P2VP) diblock copolymer template. In the absorption spectral range of organic bulk heterojunction photoactive film, an improved optical absorption is observed attributed to the increased electric field in the photoactive layer by excited localized surface plasmons within the metal nanoparticles and also increased short-circuit current (Jsc). Consequently the resulting solar energy conversion efficiency with incorporation of plasmonic metal nanoparticles was found to increase from 3.04% to 3.29% due to the enhancement of the electric field around the vicinity of the metal nanoparticles.
