제목 The Fabrication of Kenaf Fibers using the Electron Beam Irradiation and Kenaf Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene Composite
초록 Recently, carbon and glass fiber reinforced composites have been utilized extensively in the aerospace, automobile, and construction industries. Since it takes very long time to be biodegradable, environmental problems have been issued. Therefore, the biocomposites are have been attracted to many researchers. In this study, we investigated the kenaf fiber fabrication technology using an electron beam irradiation from 0 to 1,000 kGy with 10 MeV. It was confirmed that the kenaf fibers could be separated with removing the lignin after hot water treatment in the autoclave. And the biocomposites consisted of kenaf fibers and polypropylene were fabricated by hot pressing process. Their mechanical properties were estimated by flexural strength and tensile strength using an universal testing machine(UTM).
