제목 The Effects of The Electron Beam Irradiation on Nylon 6 for Improving The Wear and The Mechanical Properties
초록 In this study, the effects of the electron beam irradiation on the wear and the mechanical properties of nylon 6 were investigated. The electron beam irradiations were carried out over a range of irradiation dose from 100 to 500 kGy with cross-linking agent (TMPTMA) for enhancing the cross-linking effect. The wear properties were measured by linear TABER abrader. And the change of wear properties were confirmed as evidenced by SEM observation on the wearing surface. The mechanical properties were characterized using UTM and DMA for determining the change of the flexural strength and the dynamic mechanical properties, respectively. Also, water absorption percentage of nylon 6 was measured according to ASTM D570-98
