The preparation of HDPE/Al2O3 nanocomposites using solution dispersion technique |

In this study, the effect of surface morphology of HDPE/Al2O3 nanocomposites using a solution dispersion technique was investigated. The Al2O3 nanoparticle was mixed with PE-g-MAH in a xylene solution. A well-dispersed Al2O3 solution was prepared by sonification for 6h. And then, HDPE was blended with a well-dispersed Al2O3 solution in hot xylene. The enhancement of the dispersibility was observed using FE-SEM. The mechanical properties were characterized by UTM. The impact strength was measured according to ASTM D 256-10 with an IZOD-type impact machine. |
