Amphiphilic copolymers, which the hydrophobic chains were attached as grafts and the pH-sensitive cationic polymer units were in the backbone, were synthesized. These polymers show unique solution properties such as pH-induced solubility change. The ionic polyelectrolyte units of the polymers played a key role in such transition phenomena. We studied the encapsulation of some model compounds (dye, fragrant, etc.) in these polymers at various pHs. We also assembled the polyelectrolyte multilayer films using these polymers and studied the surface properties of them. |
