제목 Fabrication of Silicon Nanotubes based on Surface Sol-gel Reaction and Their Application to Energy Storage
초록 We fabricated carbon-coated Si nanotube through surface sol-gel reaction combined with magnesium reduction. To make template for hollow nanostructure, we converted PAN nanowires into pyridine like nanowires which have an acid catalyst for surface reaction through air pyrolysis. Hybrid Silica/pyridine nanowires were obtained by surface sol-gel reaction. And silica nanotube can be formed after remove pyridine scaffold. This template method in aqueous solution will allow a versatile and facile fabrication of hollow nanostructure. The present study has also demonstrated reduced silicon nanotubes by mg reduction can be promising anode materials for Li rechargeable batteries. Electrochemical analysis of Si nanotubes showed improved performance with stable cycle retention. We believe that our unique hierarchical structure of Si nanotubes effectively offered electric pathway and void spaces for large volume change.
